Deedee

This is my Deedee. She is so wonderful, so fun, and so sweet. She was over at my parent's house tonight and I was just realizing how much I love her. She is always telling me stories about her and her 6 brothers and sisters growing up. My favorites are when she tells me about her and her sisters calling the funeral home on the old woman next door. She wasn't really dead, so when the people came to get the body she got a little surprise. :) She is so funny and isn't she just the cutest? She loves her Italian bread and me, her sugar plum, what more could I ask for?

Our First Year

I cannot believe that in just a few days (May 30th) it will be our first wedding anniversary! This year has gone by so fast, but every moment has been so sweet. I never knew what a fun, thoughtful, God-honoring, hilarious, tender, encouraging husband I was getting when Matt asked me to marry him. He is my dream come true and more than I could have ever asked for our wanted. He is a wonderful man, a loving husband, and a great man of God. He listens to me, laughs with me, loves me, and spoils me. I love coming home to him every night and waking up to him every morning. He is the ultimate encourager and is always challenging me in my walk with the Lord. I am so BLESSED! Our first year has been so fun.... from our glorious wedding, to making a little apartment feel like home, to packing it all up and moving away, it has all been so sweet. One thing I have learned this year is the faithfulness of God as our Provider. He is the ultimate Provider and whenever I found myself getting stressed about our finances or worried about my time with Matt, He always provided in the perfect way. He is so good, so faithful, so loving... what a Great God we serve! Here are a few pictures from our first year as Mr. & Mrs. Matt Hunter :)

confessions...

Well, this is my first attempt at blogging and I have a few confessions to make...
First of all, I always said I would NEVER blog.
I thought it was kind of wierd that other people could read about your life.
I also really have never had anything to blog about before.
BUT, a few things have changed since then...
I fell in love with my sister in laws blog about her three beautiful babies, I must admit, I'm obsessed. :) (Just ask my sweet hubby, he says all I ever talk about is what to name our blog and about our future children.) So, I gave into the blogging world and decided to make one of my own. A little background on us, we are the Hunters, Matt and Lauren. We are closely approaching our 1 year wedding anniversary! (it has come so fast) We are in the middle of some crazy moves... first in May we head to Kanakuk in Branson and then to Fort Worth, Texas. It has been an emotional and crazy past few weeks. We are excited about Kanakuk, it is this great Christian sports kamp. We are working with kids and their families! I will be working with the babies, my personal favorite! Matt will be doing personel and working with high school volunteers. In August we move to Fort Worth so Matt can attend seminary. We are excited and nervous about this time in our lives. It will be an adventure, but we are going to miss our many friends and family. So, here it is, our blog. Thats right, I am now officially blogging. For all our friends and family, this is our attempt to keep you updated on our quickly changing lives!

much love, lauren
